Do you recognize this meeting? You didn’t plan this meeting. You log in to the meeting on your conferencing platform. Everyone gets in the virtual room, and you ask, “So, what’s our agenda today?” And you could hear crickets chirp. Quickly you realize this meeting could benefit from building an agenda right now, even though you are already in the meeting. These meetings are just a dumpster fire waiting to happen. But it’s not too late to rescue it.
This year has just been, well, I don’t even know that I have a good term for it. We’ve grappled with working from home and so many other changes wrought by this year. For Bella, we’ve been hearing how it’s becoming more and more difficult to plan ahead of time. Planning is often becoming an on the fly activity, as in- when you walk into the meeting. We can make that process just a little easier.
We’ve introduced new live meeting functionality. This is for those meetings that would benefit from structure even during the meeting. So how does it work? Here’s how easy it is. Simply click the drop down menu by Create Meeting and select Create Live Meeting:
The live meeting track screen will display. Boom! Ready to go.
Click on Open Time to add an agenda item:
Adding the email addresses for in the Participants field will send them a link so they can join your meeting canvas and collaborate. Now take all the notes you need to capture the conversation. Remember to highlight items so that they can automatically be created on to-do lists.
Simply click Finish Meeting button when completed to save the notes right on your Bella calendar. And now you can feel better knowing structure was added and you accomplished your meeting goals. How’s that for preventing a meeting dumpster fire?
