Emailing out meeting notes from your digital notebook

One of the keys to running a great meeting is taking notes. Notes help you record a common understanding of what happened in the meeting as well as next actions for follow-up. One of the challenges with most meeting notes is that they live separately from any other activities on your calendar. Within Bella, we've changed that equation by saving your notes right on the calendar. And now we've added a new feature we would like to share- the ability to email out your meeting notes.

How is the Email Feature Potentially Powerful?

First, By emailing the notes to a Google or Outlook search supported email account, those notes become searchable within that email account.

Additionally, often other systems are able to read emails that you send along. For example, if your company configures your CRM to accept the Bcc’ed emails from Bella, the notes can be loaded into your CRM directly, without potentially extensive further work to update the CRM.  This means you can interface with Hubspot, Zoho, and other CRM providers to save your important notes to the contact information in CRM.

How it works

Let’s start with these finished Digital Notebook Notes:

We've added a new feature we would like to share- emailing out meeting notes. Check out this post for how it works.

In the lower right corner is the button for the Email feature:

Clicking on that button results in this cheerful pop-up:

From this dialogue box, we can add and remove recipients--except for the moderator--and mark whether the parties are CC or BCC. So we can add someone who wasn’t directly involved in original meeting, like William.
